Elmo, leaders in the military motion control arena for over 30 years, launched several cutting-edge solutions.
The PUMA’s compact rugged casing contains Elmo’s easy-to-use, cost-effective Gold Lion multi-axis network controller and two powerful, 20 A/100 V Gold Hornet servo drives. The PUMA “masters” these internal servo drives and up to 98 “external” additional servo drives via an EtherCAT or CANopen field bus.
As part of Elmo’s ExtrIQ range for applications operating in extreme environmental conditions, the Puma is precise, durable, reliable, and ruggedized. It has also been designed, qualified, verified, manufactured and tested to meet the most stringent military standards making it ready-to-use MIL applications such as: firing control devices, rotational tables with angular motion, antennas, radar, cameras, pedestals, turrets, airborne systems, and winglets control.
The EAGLE HV is a compact, intelligent servo drive that is easy-to-install, accepts any feedback, and drives any motor. As part of Elmo’s ExtrIQ product line, based on Elmo’s time-proven SimplIQ motion control technology, customers who choose the EAGLE HV are guaranteed fast time-to-market. They also receive a product that is easy to set up and tune; fully programmable with Elmo motion control software; and is a Windows-based application for easy configuration with their motor.
Eli Cohen, Elmo’s chief engineer, explained that "the EAGLE HV is a designed for Military application designers seeking high-power, high-density servo drives in a compact package that are designed, verified and proved to withstand extreme environmental conditions. It is important to note that the servo drive can operate as a stand-alone device or as part of a multi-axis system in a distributed configuration on a real-time network.”
