Eurosatory 2014: Iveco Showcases new Products

At Eurosatory, IVECO is showing its portfolio of vehicles. New for example is the LAV 4 – Norway just ordered the first batch of 62 units. It is the follow up of the LMV with a number of improvements that are suggestions of the current users and the lessons learned in Afghanistan. The LAV 4 offers a higher payload (1.5 t) and is prepared for the Kongsberg weapon station. The LMV is now also available in a long-wheel base, a LOV-CBRN (CZ Army) and a pick-up version. At Eurosatory is also present the Italian MPV/VTMM 4x4 Ambulance vehicle, which is produced in cooperation with KMW (protected hull).

Together with SelexMBDA and Oto Melara, IVECO is also producing the MPV route clearance package (40 vehicles orders, 5 are one system).

A big topic is EURO 6 and IVECO is offering for their whole TRAKKER family with it. According to IVECO the engines can still be used with all kind of fuel without any damage. All TRAKER are available in a protected/unprotected version. The protected cabin is made by KMW, the Bundeswehr is using the TRAKKER 8x8 in two different versions (tank wagon and TEP/CBRN). IVECO will deliver up to 2,200 vehicles (200 delivered by end of 2014, 250 additional ordered) of PPLD 8x8 to France. Partner is IBD Deisenroth. IVECO just sold another 2,000 vehicles to Saudi Arabia.
For Brasil IVECO just delivered the first of the VBTP family of vehicles and is planning to offer it to other countries in South America. New is also the VBM Mortar Carrier in cooperation with Thales.
