IDEF 2015: Cubic Demonstrates Range of Technologies for Central Asian Market

Cubic Global Defense, a business of Cubic Corporation, is demonstrating a range of technologies for increased effectiveness and readiness on booth #213.

"The Central Asia market is a significant region for Cubic and we look forward to working with our partners in Turkey to deliver world-class solutions that meet our customers' expanding needs for safe and realistic training scenarios," said Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense. "Military and security forces worldwide have come to rely on us to provide innovations that meet the changing demands of safe, effective and efficient training."

Some of the innovative Cubic products and services exhibited include:

  • Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) ITESS-2 and Tactical Vehicle System (TVS): The manworn and the vehicular versions of Cubic's enhanced laser engagement simulation system. MILES TVS equips High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs) and other tactical vehicles with lasers, sensors and electronics used during force-on-force combat training exercises. MILES TVS uses Cubic's wireless technology to provide real-time casualty assessment for tactical engagement training in direct-fire instrumented training scenarios. The I-TESS 2 version, in production for the US Marine Corps is a portable C2 version that can be used anywhere in Turkey for real-time fully instrumented live force-on-force training.
  • PRISim: A virtual training system where trainees use a series of simulators allowing Special Forces, Police and Security personnel to train on the use of force continuum. Trainees learn when to use less than lethal weapons as opposed to deadly force in a given engagement. Cubic's PRISim product line can be used for both live fire and virtual training. PRISim is in use extensively with the General Directorate of Security.
  • Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI): Cubic's range-less ACMI systems support live and post-mission air-to-air and air-to-ground combat training for fast jet aircrew. The ACMI systems use advanced Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, data links and processors to track, record and display fighter aircraft during live training. The data collected is used for both real-time display and post-mission debrief. Cubic's ACMI systems are integrated on almost every fighter aircraft including: F-16, F-15, F-18, F-35, Hawk, Eurofighter TYPHOON, MiG-29 and Su-30.
