Eurosatory 2016: New Water UNIMOG Developed

Kärcher Futuretech has teamed up with Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks to develop a highly mobile, all-terrain Water UNIMOG, enabling the transport of up to three autonomous drinking water supply systems to different locations over difficult-to-access terrain. A hydraulically operated crane helps save time when unloading the systems onsite. As soon as the vehicle is unloaded, the loading platform is prepared for use distributing the drinking water to the surrounding regions.

The core of these systems being transported on the Water UNIMOG is Kärcher Futuretech’s WTC 5000 UF water treatment system, operated by an integrated power generator able to produce up to 5,000l of drinking water per hour. It produces particle-free drinking water from nearly any natural source of raw water. This water is classified as both microbial and virally safe, and also complies with the German Ordinance on Drinking Water. The output of three WTC 5000 UFs working together is 360,000l per day. This complies with the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the supply of up to 50,000 people.
