SHOT Show 2015: MTM presents two new SpecOps Watches

For the first time ever MTM Special Ops Watches presented the two new watches, the TRIGER and the modular Hypertec. Both will be available from February 2015 on.

Adding to MTM’s reputation as the manufacturer of rugged, durable and innovative models, the Triger is truly revolutionary. As the first automatic movement equipped model in the MTM lineup, The Triger utilizes a certified COSC rated Swiss Chronometer. Fewer than 3% of all Swiss movements are accurate enough to be awarded this certification.

For comfort, strength and lightweight, the case is fabricated from grade 5 titanium, the grade offering the ultimate combination of durability and weight. Each case is meticulously CNC machined by hand, one case at a time, to ensure MTM’s demanding tolerances.

The Triger’s elevated bezel is one of a kind. By simply rotating the bezel counter-clockwise, the Triger's proprietary gearing mechanism will raise the entire bezel 1mm above the watch's sapphire crystal.  This allows for an added level of protection for the crystal when the wearer encounters robust activity or extreme use.  By repeating the counter-clockwise rotation once, the bezel returns to its normal position.  The smallest detail has not been overlooked. The specially designed dial has integrated raised block indices and numerals.  The chronograph’s 3 sub-dials are also raised and correspondingly trimmed to coordinate with each of the Triger’s finishes and complement a 3’oclock positioned day/date window. The watch case back is exhibition type, utilizing sapphire glass, and is protected by MTM’s dagger insignia.

Design ingenuity and attention to detail does not stop with the watch case and bezel.  The revolutionary link band / bracelet can be found nowhere else ... in any price range.  Each individual CNC machined link is solid titanium and is connected via precisely machined and polished bearings rather than standard pins.  This allows for a smoothly articulating bracelet design... unparalleled, not only in uniqueness, but comfort as well.

The Hypertec is modular and can be customized with a choice of a specific band or face (dial color).
