Saab is exhibiting their TACTICALL at D&S Bangkok in its full capacity, which is to integrate remote control enabling the use of radios, DSC and CCTV, as well as most types of customised equipment, directly from the Operator Control Panel. As TACTICALL integrates with existing equipment, the remote operation of a unit is no longer a vision, but a reality. TACTICALL will remotely operate any system it is interfaced with. TACTICALL features built-in legal recording and operator controlled instant recording. This allows for flexibility from fast replay of last sentence/conversation to black box documentation of vessel communication, while being well integrated into the standard user interface. TACTICALL connects communication media, providing one common user interface for easy overview and control. Interest in the system is immense.
TACTICALL is made up of components and can be customised for UHF, VHF, MF, TETRA and HF communication. The system is based on commercially available components and customised software. The same core components are used in communication systems for ATC, offshore communication and C2 systems that form the backbone of our critical military communication systems.
